Why this firm exists
A French birth certificate requested by a UK authority, a bank statement required by a solicitor, a notarial document for an estate or a British company record needed overseas: document requirements can become fragmented across different providers. FrancoLegal helps clarify the process in French or English and coordinate the steps that are actually required.
What we do
We start with the document, the recipient and its instructions. Depending on the matter, we coordinate certified translation, certification, FCDO apostille, consular legalisation or tracked delivery. Our professional fees and external costs are separated in advance.
Accountable leadership
FrancoLegal is directed by Séverine Itany, whose professional background includes banking, international finance and relationships between European and African institutions. That coordination and compliance experience is not a legal qualification; when legal advice is required, we refer the matter to an authorised adviser.
What we do not do
We are not solicitors or notaries. We do not draft legal instruments, and we advise on neither law, tax nor immigration. Where your file requires that advice, we refer you to an authorised professional — often the most useful thing we can do.
How we charge
Our professional fees are fixed and stated in advance. Official costs — FCDO, consulate, translator, delivery — are passed on at cost, with no mark-up, itemised line by line. You know who is paid what before you pay anything.
